As a British voiceover artist, you would think I spent all my time in the sound booth, right? Well, the truth is that’s only one small element of what it takes to make a successful voiceover business. So much more goes into success, and it is not just the end product, which in this case, is a voiceover recording. Sure, it is a unique element of the job, and of course, it is the most fun. But every business needs some form of marketing, such as ads, website SEO (search engine optimization), or social media. My media section has three categories; interviews, press, and reviews. I use this section to speak my thoughts because I believe it is essential that voiceover artists should be talking! Sounds simple right? Well, in this instance, I don’t mean audibly in front of a microphone but by writing reviews and giving back to the voiceover community!
Spreading the Joy with Voiceover Reviews
I have something to say! I want to offer input into the voiceover industry, and I want to help and support other artists in their journey. There is a ton of content online with opinions on everything from workshops to demo producers and even how to get the best headshots. We are constantly saving images, phrases, connections, and relationships we encounter and go through each day of our lives. Some memories become redundant while others last. Therefore, blogs are vitally important! Not only does it give you an excellent step-by-step recollection of the process you went through, but it becomes the cornerstone and pillar for artists all around the world. Sharing your experiences and offering a message of truth is hugely important, no matter your industry. I will be reviewing at length all of the things that I think are amazing within the voiceover, screen, and motion capture world. Enjoy!
